The FINAL SCURVY at the ISLINGTON TAP
The next Scurvy Wednesday – the last one at the Islington Tap – will be on the 21st July 2010. And we will be bringing the era to an end in style, with an almighty back-to-our-topical-comedy-roots-Edinburgh-preview-double-header-blow-out, from two of our all-time favourite acts to have graced the Islington Tap’s stage. We’ve got…
ANDY ZALTZMAN!

You know who Andy Zaltzman is. But if you’ve missed out till now, you should know he’s the perrier-nominated star of Political Animal, The Bugle (with the Daily Show’s John Oliver), he writes most of Rory Bremner’s best jokes, and he loves cricket more than David Cameron loves secretly barbecuing and devouring the children of the poor. And we all know that is a lot.
and…
JAMES SHERWOOD!

He’s a Sony Award Nominee and BBC Radio 4 regular nowadays, but he still has a special place at Scurvy Wednesdays… His four years of solo shows at the Edinburgh Fringe have attracted rave reviews and enjoyed sell-out runs. James is now the creator and chief writer of Radio 4’s new topical panel show ‘I Guess That’s Why They Call It The News’ and has also been heard on ‘The Vote Now Show’, ‘4 Stands Up’, Five Live’s ‘Richard Bacon Show’ and reviewing the papers on Sky News.
“gloriously pedantic and quite brilliant” The Scotsman
“elegant, intelligent stand-up” The Guardian
“clever, funny and will have fans singing along” Chortle
This is going to be an absolute joy of a night; don’t miss it or you will regret it forever, and that’s a long time. We’ll be – for the last time – upstairs at the Islington Tap on Liverpool Road, N1, and the show starts at 8. Reserve places on scurvyreservations@gmail.com right away…
